Are you an investigator interested in clinical research? Prior experience in clinical research is not a requirement, in fact, we strongly urge physicians who have never participated in a clinical trial to contact us.

Welcome
Welcome to Anaclim the only dedicated, full service, minority-focused contract research organization.

In the United States today, ethnic minorities constitute more than a third of the general population and will account for 50% of the people of our nation in 2050. Yet these groups continue to be chronically under-represented in clinical research. Anaclim exists because there is a clear need in America for an organization like ours.

Every year 15 to 20 new drugs are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in the general population in the United States. However, the clinical trial information submitted by sponsors to the FDA for the approval of these drugs has a limited amount of data on the safety and efficacy of these new treatments on patients who are members of ethnic minority groups.

A study recently conducted by the FDA showed that from 1995 until 1999, out of the nearly half a million patients enrolled in 2,581 registration clinical trials for 185 new molecular entities, ethnic minorities were seriously under-represented. 1

This finding is bad news for everyone involved in the process of getting new, life-saving medicines to the patients who need them. In today’s world, there is little room for guessing in matters related to patient health. Simply speaking, there is no excuse for failing to provide relevant information on the safety and efficacy of these drugs in all groups of people using them. This is not only a poor practice but it is also bad medicine; because at the same time that it denies early access to these treatments to patients members of ethnic minority groups, it increases the liability risk for pharmaceutical companies commercializing these new treatments.

Anaclim addresses this problem. We offer a high-quality, professional approach to clinical trial implementation while enrolling representative numbers of minority patients into clinical trials.

Anaclim is the best choice and the best solution for large and small pharmaceutical companies developing new drugs, for biotechnology organizations developing new treatments, for academic institutions conducting different types of research in large groups of patients and for other CROs that, while focusing on the implementation of large and complex clinical trials, do not have the time or the access to minority populations.

Whether you are a patient interested in new treatments, a clinician interested in participating in clinical trials, a possible sponsor, a member of another CRO or a professional of clinical research, I invite you to take an in-depth exploration of our website (www.anaclim.com) and to contact us at info@anaclim.com if you have any questions about the work that we do.

Sincerely,

Alfonso J. Alanis, M.D.
